🎄 What Did She Get For Christmas?! 🎄🙌🏾❤️
ALL A’s!! 💫 🙌🏾💃🏾 In My Doctoral & MDiv Courses!
The grades are in, and here’s a glimpse of the journey—rain, sunshine, highs, lows, and everything in between! A TWO-PART surgery, pastoring, teaching, preaching, working, and businessing! I DID THAT, because GOD DID IT ALL WITH ME! 🙌🏾
When the surgery hit, my biggest prayer was, “Lord, please don’t let me fall behind!” And trust, I fought through it. Lighter pain meds during the day to stay focused, and stronger meds only at night—because I needed them! 💆🏾♀️😫 But I pushed through! I came home after work, preaching, pastoring, and got straight to my books, assignments, and papers. Laser focus was the key! 📚🔥
My family was my rock—especially my husband, who stayed up with me when I needed to submit those assignments at the last minute. ❤️🙌🏾
The adversary threw everything and everyone at me to distract me, but IT DID NOT WORK. I not only finished, I finished STRONG—WITH STRAIGHT A’S in every single class! 🙌🏾
Was it easy? NO. My doctoral mentor, Dr. Karri (@mzkarribaby), doesn’t play. 😂 She pushed me, and so did all my professors. They challenged me, constructively criticized me, and refused to let me quit. 🙌🏾
But I applied their wisdom, kept going, and worked through it all with God by my side!
I am SO GRATEFUL, SO THANKFUL, and SO PROUD of ME! 🙌🏾❤️🎄
God, I pray You continue to show me how good it can get—even in the storms! 🙌🏾
